Volgograd Tractor Plant from Russia started the development of new BMD-5 airborne tracked IFV.

The Russian Company Volgograd Tractor Plant has started the development of a new tracked airborne armoured infantry fighting vehicle called BMD-5. This vehicle will be a full new design and will have a different layout from the previous generation of airborne armoured vehicles IFVs (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) as the BMD-1, BMD-2, BMD-3, BMD-4, and the latest variant, the BMD-4M. The BMD-5 could be equipped with a remotely operated turret armed with one 100mm caliber gun, coupled to a 30mm cannon and a 7.62mm PKT coaxial machine gun as the BMP-3 Dragoon. (See picture BMP-3 Dragoon at RAE 2015)
