The U.S. Air Force awarded Boeing $2.8 billion on Aug. 18 for KC-46A tanker low-rate initial production. The KC-46A Pegasus program received Milestone C approval from Frank Kendall, the US under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics, on August 12.
