US approves a $2bn FMS from Iraq for F-16 fighter munitions and weapons

The United States State Department has approves a possible Foreign Military Sale to Iraq for F-16 weapons, munitions, equipment, and logistics support. The estimated cost is $1.950 billion, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced on Jan. 20, 2016.
Iraq purchased 36 F-16 fighter aircraft
